Journal of Global Responsibility: Call for Papers & Board members

Introduction

The Journal of Global Responsibility (JGR) is dedicated to becoming the premier journal that publishes original and high- quality theoretical and empirical research in advancing our understanding of global responsibility issues in today’s interconnected and interdependent world.

We’re call for paper submissions to upcoming editions invite applications from eligible experts, scholars and researchers to join the Boards (Policy, Editorial and Review) of the Journal. More details on both opportunities seen below.

Scope

JGR makes contributions to thought leadership and excellent practice in this area. JGR covers a wide range of global responsibility inquiries:

  1. Responsibility within a global scope: Responsibility- related activities or issues directly relating to or involving the entire world, such as globalisation, global economic and social crises, climate change and environmental degradation.
  2. Responsibility on a global scale: Responsibility- related issues or activities actually or potentially affecting, extending to, or spreading over the entire world, such as poverty, water shortage, waste, and power and impacts of multinational enterprises and large social movements.
  3. Responsibility at the global level: Responsibility- related issues with, or pressures and impacts from, public institutions and networks at the global level, such as world, intergovernmental and non- governmental organisations, and global or international networks, forums and active groups.
  4. Responsibility with a global perspective: Comprehensive, integrative and holistic thinking and views on responsibility issues affecting the world.
Call for Papers

The Journal of Global Responsibility invites authors to submit their original and extended research papers. All submitted papers will be peer reviewed, published in online and print versions. JGR is an internationally recognized, double-blind peer- reviewed academic journal advancing thinking on global responsibility issues.

JGR welcomes contributions based primarily on the discipline of management and governance. It also encourages contributions drawing on other disciplines to provide insight into responsible governance, management and leadership in the global context. JGR publishes conceptual, theoretical, empirical and review papers, as well as case studies, dialogues and commentaries. For more information, please visit the journal’s website.

Call for members of the Policy, Editorial and Review Boards

JGR is guided and supported by three boards, the Policy Board, the Editorial Board, and the Editorial Review Board.

  • The Policy Board is to advise on the journal’s general policy and direction and act as a senior level ambassador for the journal.
  • The Editorial Board is to add credibility to the journal, advise on journal strategy, regulations and academic standards, providing expert advice on content, and promote the journal among peers.
  • The Editorial Review Board is to review submitted manuscripts for editorial decisions and safeguard the quality and integrity of scholarly research.

JGR invites applications from eligible experts, scholars and researchers to join the above three boards. Those are voluntary positions with no remuneration for the posts.

Eligibility: We seek those who are internationally recognized experts in the area of global responsibility or representatives of important institutions related to global responsibility to join the Policy Board. 
Those who have a good track record of high-quality research outputs that meet international standards of excellence and have made or have strong potentials to make significant contributions to JGR will be selected to join the Editorial Board.

Application: Please submit a brief statement (max 400 words) of your interest in one of the above posts, your area of expertise and qualifications for the post, as well as an updated CV to the Editor-in-Chief Dr. William Sun at the email address: X.Sun@leedsbeckett.ac.uk.
